Sexy, Smoky Eye Makeup for Big Eyes

TIP FROMÂ A MAKEUP PROFESSIONAL:
Want Sexy, Smoky Eyes? Here’s How!
Â
The first step to sexy smoky eyes is, of course, eyeliner! You can use either a pencil or a liquid. I suggest drawing a thin line in either a black or dark brown color….following along the top eyelash line (OR you can apply eyeliner from the top inner corner to top outer corner of the eyes), whichever you like best.  Then add a bit of eyeliner underneath the eye in the outside corner. Note: Avoid ringing the eye with eyeliner, as this can make the eyes appear smaller.Â
Â
IMPORTANT MAKEUP COLOR PRINCIPLE:Â Lighter colors create fullness and highlight an area, while darker colors create depth and definition.Â
Â
Let’s continue creating those smoky eyes with eye shadows next!  Try using a medium-toned shadow on the lid, then a dark-toned eye shadow color on the outer corners of the eyelid, in the eyelid crease under the browbone, and in the corners underneath the eye (eyeshadow applied over your eyeliner); see the illustration below. A lighter shadow can be applied softly directly underneath the eyebrow as a highlighter.Â
Â
Here is an illustration of where to apply a medium-toned eye shadow (Silverado) and two darker-toned eye shadows (Navajo Brown & Slate blended together) in the corner and eyelid crease under the browbone. The three QDazzle(TM) eye shadow tones used here are “Silverado” Frosty Eye Shadow, “Navajo Brown” and “Slate” Matte Eye Shadows.

Â
Dramatic Look
Â
Of course, curling your eyelashes will help show off your eyes too! Next apply your eyelash conditioner, let dry, then apply your mascara.  You can use several coats of mascara (letting each coat dry thoroughly before applying the next coat helps avoid clumping). For extra drama, as a final touch try a fun pair of sexy false eyelashes!

How to Apply a Smokey Eye Make

Hi. I’m makeup artist Debbie Jean creator of Real Women Makeup website. Today I’m going to demonstrate to you how to apply a smoky eye makeup look.

A great tip is to always use an eyeliner pencil in a similar shape to the eye shadow color you’ve chosen to wear. When the smoky eye look is usually demonstrated, it is always, always done in black. So I would like to show you a smoky eye look in brown.

Prepare the eye surface with concealer and powder and then take a soft eyeliner pencil in a similar shade to what you’re going to be using in eye shadow and apply that across your entire eyelid area. Make sure you blend the line a little with your finger and then apply the same color on the inside room of the eyes to create further definition.

Smoky Eye Makeup Guide

Our smoky eye instructions are simple and easy to follow and will show you exactly how to create smoky eye make up in as little as 5 minutes. Blending is of course the key to perfect smoky eye makeup and you will need to ensure that your colors are blended correctly. Another smoky eye make up tip which is also one the most eye shadow make up tips is to pair light colors with dark colors.

How to Do Smoky Eyes

The first step to smoky eye makeup is to prepare your eye lid. In order to do this you will need to ensure that your eye shadow does not melt into the crease of your eyelid and to do this you will need to start with an eye shadow base.

Next you will need to apply your eyeliner. If you are aiming for a black, brown, or gray smoky eye makeup, you will need to apply eyeliner in one of those colors just above the upper eyelash line. You will need to make the line thicker in the middle of the eye.

Asian Beauty

Asian beauty covers a wide range of skin tones, and eye color variations. Unfortunately, not many address the all encompassing beauty that this term refers to. There are Southeast Asian beauties, Chinese beauties, Indian beauties; the list literally goes on and on. No matter the title, one thing is certain; this particular brand of beauty is incredibly intriguing, exotic, and gorgeous by any standard!

Asian Beauty Tips

The best tip of all is to work to enhance the natural beauty of your face. Develop the exotic features that make you unique for an overall beguiling appearance.

Eyes

  • For the Hooded Eye: With a hooded eye, the goal is to open them up for a brighter overall affect. To create a wider eye and still maintain the beautiful shape, you can use a subtle contouring influence. Start with an overall application of a light shadow, from the lid to the brow.

Then, use a dark, medium color eye shadow on the hood of the eye, covering up the part of the lid that you want to recede. Then blend the darker shadow with the lighter color for a more natural recession. Make sure to avoid contouring shadows that are too dark; as they will only make the eyes look smaller.

Eye Makeup Styles

With all the different colors and products available in the cosmetic department for eyes, there is a huge range of eye makeup styles to choose from.

Choosing Your Eye Look

Choosing the makeup look you want for your eyes depends on several factors, including your eye shape, your eye color and skin tone, your personality, and the occasion. While the possible styles and looks you can create are virtually limitless, there are several broad groupings of general eye-enhancing cosmetic styles that might make it easier to decide on and create the look you want.

Types of Eye Makeup Styles

The following styles and eye makeup tips are discussed in general terms, and these can be very different looks depending on the individual. For example, a natural eye for a woman with fair skin and light hair might mean a beige eye shadow and a coat of brown mascara, while a darker-hued individual might achieve a natural look with a stroke of black eyeliner on the upper lid and black mascara. Have fun experimenting with different styles and colors to find a look you love!

Eye Makeup Tricks

Eyes are the focal point of a womans face. Because of this women need to take the time to create beautiful eye makeup. Unfortunately, the skin around the eyes is thin and it is prone to several conditions that make applying eye makeup difficult to do, especially as we age. Fortunately there are some tricks that you can follow to improve your results.

Eye Makeup Trick #1 Moisturize

One of the most common problems that women have with eye makeup is that it can accentuate fine lines and crapiness around the eyes. One of the best ways to fix these problems is to apply a moisturizer to the eye lids in the morning, in the evening, and/or before you apply a new coat eye makeup. What has worked for me is using a night time firming cream around my eyes. Put a little bit on your ring finger and then gently smooth it over your upper and lower lids, as well as applying it to the skin around your eyes. This will help to revitalize your eyes, as well as tighten and lift the skin around your eyes.

Be Sure to Choose the Right Makeup Colors for Smoky Eyes

It is possible for you to get smoky eyes with pretty much any eye makeup colors. However, if you want to get the most out of your smoky eye look, you will want to choose colors that look smoky. Eye shadow and eyeliner shades that you will want to consider using include shades of gray, black, purple and even brown. Certain shades of blue may even work, though it is important to make sure that you are not opting for bright makeup shades. You will need three different colors. No matter what colors you choose, make sure that they are similar to one another. For example, you would not want to mix blue with purple. Choosing varying shades of the same color is best. Examples include light and dark shades of purple or shades of grays and black.
