Natural Cheap Beauty Tips
There’s no reason to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on commercial beauty products. First, follow a regimen of natural beauty treatments that can improve your appearance using beauty strategies that take advantage of free or low-cost natural items you may already have around the house. These can help you look better and feel good about your personal appearance without spending a fortune.
Hydrate
Avoiding dry skin starts from the inside out. Dehydration can lead to dry, flaky skin, or exacerbate the causes of this condition. Experts like the Food and Nutrition Board recommend about three liters of water daily, but you get most of this amount in the foods and juices you eat throughout the day.
So while you don’t need to drink those mythical eight glasses of water per day, it is a good idea to make sure you get enough water by letting thirst be your guide and hedging your bet with two or three glasses daily.
Juice
When you eat two ounces of carrots, most of what you are ingesting is dietary fiber. When you drink two ounces of carrot juice, you eliminate the fiber and are consuming almost pure nutrition, including many more vitamins and minerals (per ounce consumed). This leads to better skin, hair and overall health.
Add juicing to your diet strategy to get more nutrients and fluid. Dietary fiber is important, however, so make sure to get enough of that through your non-juiced daily fruit and veggie servings.
Exfoliate
Remove dead skin cells and excess oil from your skin by using natural abrasives like oatmeal to gently scrub your face. Moisten the oatmeal and rub into your face with your fingertips, or wrap it in a damp cloth and apply that way. Remove with cool or lukewarm water.
Peel
You can make a natural home peel using the acids found in common fruits like lemons. Apply the juice of a lemon to your face. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.
Moisturize
Keep skin smooth with natural moisturizers like aloe or petroleum jelly, which can be used on the face, hands, legs or anywhere. Apply moisturizer after you get out of the bath or shower, when your skin is still damp, to help the moisturizer absorb better.
