My name is Aimee Lam, the makeup artist. I accidentally run into this thread. I would like to address some of the points that said about me, which are incorrect (unintentionally I guess) and can mislead a lot of people.
First of all I don’t have any client by the name of JoJo that contacted me for bridal makeup, but if this is who I think – Judy T., Â I’d like to bring up few points.
1- Judy and I did not enter in to a bridal service agreement, how can I cancelled on her if there is no contract to begin with. I rely on the bride to choose her makeup artist for her special day then deposit to save-the-date with me & send me a signed contract  when she is sure/ready.  I don’t push the brides to send a deposit until she feels I’m the right match.
2- As a makeup artist, we have a lot of inquiry for services for the same date, but your date/time is secured only when you put down the deposit and give me a signed contract. A lot of times, the brides deposit to save-the-date even before a trial session if they trust your work. Â As a makeup artist for weddings, one should know how it goes.
3- It happened that I replied to you on your bday. It was purely a coincident. I am really sorry!!! Â On that day, I just tried to let u know right away when that date is taken. And it was on July 17th, which is more than a month ago already. I did try to refer u to another artist. Hope things are working out fine at this moment.
Now, all that aside, and I second all the good artists (Ann Ho, Thy Dinh, Masami, ect….) Â that others have suggested for you earlier… Also, I have in mind another mua, Joanne Yim, who I’ve heard is really good and this lady has tons of good reviews on Yelp as well. Â u might want to check her out:
